DLBP takes part in General Election hustings across London

Members of the DLBP have been busy attending General Election hustings across London in the run up to next week's vote.

Last Friday, Ben Murphy attended the Southwark Pensioner’s Actions Group’s General Election hustings.  Prospective parliamentary candidates from across the political spectrum answered questions from the Borough’s residents on a wide range of topics focused on older people’s interests.  Discussions ranged from housing provision to social care and health, fostering vibrant and safe communities and digital inclusion.  DLBP continues to work closely with our clients to deliver exceptional elderly care and senior living facilities.  We engage with the older community on an ongoing basis to understand their how we can best bring forward developments that meet their needs.

On Wednesday, Ben also attended the Dulwich and West Norwood hustings, where prospective candidates, including the shadow Minister for Children and Early Years Helen Hayes debated a range of topics including housing affordability and local government scrutiny.

Last night, Jack Allenby attended the Holborn & St Pancras hustings, in the constituency of Keir Starmer, with local candidates focusing discussions on climate change and the environment and associated social issues of air pollution and access to green spaces.

We look forward to seeing how any new administration will address current issues, including housing availability and affordability, and climate change.
