DLBP attends Founders Day at the Royal Hospital Chelsea

Matthew Johnson and Elyse Kenny were extremely privileged to have been invited to Founder’s Day at the Royal Hospital Chelsea on 6 June 2024.

Matthew and Elyse had a spectacular day commemorating the founding of the Royal Hospital by King Charles II in 1681.  In keeping with tradition, The Chelsea Pensioners gathered in full dress, including their iconic scarlet uniforms in the central quadrangle on the grounds. Accompanied by a marching band, The Chelsea Pensioners paraded around the square following an inspection; this year undertaken by Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal.

Senior Planner Elyse said “At DLBP, we are proud of our long-standing relationship with the Royal Hospital Chelsea, having secured a wide range of planning permissions on their behalf, from structural changes to unique temporary events.   Matthew and I are exceptionally grateful to have attended Founder’s Day this year, and look forward to continuing our relationship with this fine institution.”
