DLBP had a great time recently when attending the Facilitating Development seminar, hosted by Holmes & Hills Solicitors.
Jack Allenby, Principal Planner, attended the event in order to gain a better understanding of some of the common barriers to development, and how best they can be overcome.
The evening consisted of four short talks by different members of the Holmes & Hills Land and Development Division covering a range of topics, from the importance of careful due diligence at the site acquisition stage, through to the key considerations of eventual plot sales.
This provided a useful reminder of the vital role that we, as planners, play in assisting others in the construction industry to effectively maximise the development potential of sites.
