DLBP secures planning permission seven weeks early for changes to enhance the visitor experience at Masterpiece London

DLBP is delighted to announce that we have worked with our longstanding client, Masterpiece London, to secure planning permission that will allow changes to the main events structure. These changes will improve the overall visitor experience during the Fair, which takes place in June and July this year at the South Grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea. We are especially proud that permission was granted seven weeks earlier than estimated, thanks to our team establishing a strong relationship with the planning officer.

Once we understood Masterpiece’s vision for the new structure, our team initiated various technical assessments to demonstrate to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea that the proposed changes to Masterpiece would not negatively impact local trees, noise or transport.

In the application documents, DLBP reinforced the many exceptional benefits of the scheme; such as enhancing the cultural life of Kensington and Chelsea and bringing together dealers and collectors of the finest objects in a calm environment. Masterpiece London and the Royal Hospital Chelsea are two organisations of world-class standing; both of whom are committed to managing the site with great respect for its history, quality and local residents.

The Fair also helps to secure the future of the Royal Hospital Chelsea through financial contributions, allowing the maintenance of historic buildings and open spaces on site, and allowing the Hospital to continue its important work with the Chelsea Pensioners.
