The UK Government has announced that planning application fees are to rise from 6 December.
This recent announcement confirmed a 35 percent rise in application fees for major applications (residential accommodation of 10 or more units, or commercial development of 1,000 square metres or more), and a 25 percent rise in fees for minor applications.
This announcement also confirmed an annual inflation indexation of all application fees will be added from 1 April 2025.
DLBP is currently working with many of its clients to prepare and finalise applications before the increase comes into effect on 6 December.
